Giselle Lanez on Mental Health

ree

Being able to gain the resiliency to overcome my self-sabotage, learn from professionals, and apply the skills/knowledge/experience I’ve gained professionally and personally has not only impacted my life but so many lives I’ve been blessed to be part of. As I believe, “People will only meet you as deeply as they’ve met themselves,” my journey has led me to share my wisdom and help models awaken the wisdom within them. Connecting my mind and body has transformed my mindset and overall transformed my life. I went from believing in “not enough” in so many areas of my life to truly accepting myself, trusting my intuition, and believing in myself that I started seeing the change I wanted. I did the inner work to work through my own beliefs and recognized in creating aligned beliefs started a ripple effect of how I started speaking to myself, to others about myself, how I was treating myself, the quality of relationships around me, the opportunities that were showing up for me, and the amount of money I was receiving all reflected my mindset.

I believe everything happens on purpose and nothing is a coincidence. I used to model when I was a child and my dream was put on pause to focus on education. During that pause, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor. Decades later I still gravitated toward my childhood dream. I’m grateful for choosing to have the courage to return to the industry and this time with my gifts of healing, compassion, and love to share. In an industry where it’s so easy to lose your voice, not recognize your worth, and feel like an imposter, I’m here to help models resolve unprocessed pain and discover the root of their distress to overcome resistance and empower them to move forward with an abundance mindset. I’m passionate about helping models learn how to speak up for themselves, create healthy boundaries, and believe they don’t ever have to settle for less.

My parents immigrated to America and I learned from them to never forget my roots. My older brother role-modeled the importance of mentorship. When I was a freshman in college he told me, “Build a relationship with a professor, a mentor, someone who is already doing what you want to do and learn from them.” After graduate school, I met my analyst who specialized in psychoanalysis and I devoted about 3 years of my inner healing to help me personally and professionally. He taught me what truly being human was and how to connect with my subconscious mind. I met my reiki practitioner and sound healer during a time I needed medicine for my soul, she taught me how to connect my mind and body on a level I didn’t know was possible. I met my business coach who encouraged me to share my spiritual gifts without shame and truly embrace the wisdom I was meant to share with the world.
